Toddlers have terrible timing. Can I come stay with you?

It was my birthday yesterday (30! I made it!), and Spouse threw me a fabulous karaoke dance party and got a babysitter and so we stayed out too late having the best time as if we were young and unencumbered again for a few brief, magical hours.

This morning, the toddler got up uncharacteristically early (translation: at dawn) and has spent the entire morning whining and wailing about injustices of varying degrees.

So, basically, I guess … toddler for sale? He comes with stuff. I’ll throw in a cat too if you are willing to take them both immediately.
I’m running away to someplace quiet with clean bedding.

Thank you, and I’m glad to hear it does get better! We’re just waiting for the day when that cute boy can get himself up and pour himself a bowl of cereal so we can sleep in a bit later 🙂

Happy Birthday, Emily! Tracey’s right…I’m on the other side of FORTY now, and I can attest to the fact that it does indeed just keep getting better and better 🙂
As for the boy – he’s totally adorable. These years are intense, but the dividends are well worth it.

Surprisingly I have not gotten any offers. I guess I’m stuck with them?
Thanks! I had a great time, and had forgotten what fun it is to put on a party dress and play with my friends. I think 30 is going to be pretty rad – but I’m not a grown-up yet 😉

Lordy, lady… been there – good luck finding a home for your Small Ones.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you had fun getting out of the house for the evening… 30 is wonderful. And it just gets better and better!!
