the unexpected

February 15, 2011 by Nancy

The unexpected is everything. It gives life a shot in the arm, a shake up, a jolt of passion.

Yesterday I had so much fun with the unexpected I could hardly stand it.
This was in my door at daybreakflower.jpg
followed by a latte delivery right to my desk
latte.jpg
breakfast was heart shaped french toast

got to wear my favourite colours

all under things need to be pink ( for me only hookers wear red undies)
pink legs.jpg
a love path to the table

and what a table

only red, pink and white foods are served (steak, heart shaped pasta, tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella, fabulous red wine, asparagus with pink hollandaise) and caterpillar cake for dessert (it looks like a car accident but its supposed to- we name it after past loves)

and gorgeous flowers delivered to my door by one I did not expect to get flowers from

a day full of the unexpected. I love the unexpected.

Wow! You are luckier than i was. My youngest woke up vomiting while i was still recovering from the flu. I drugged both of us up to go out for dinner with my husband and sons and then the screaming started. Mom!!! I have lice!! My husband and I spent all night treating the little buggers . All I had asked for from the kids is that they each remember to make everyone in the family feel “loved on that day.” As I was combing through my oldest son’s hair he perked up and said, “See Mom, I didn’t forget your gift.”
We all laughed and bonded and will never forget this Valentines Day.
