Welcome to what we call- “sure why not season”
Sure why not season is when mom is not working and no one is in school.
There are no agendas or have to do items. There is no time frame for the completion of anything. We eat when we are hungry. We play. We talk. We move more slowly. We forget the day and the time.
The answer to anything-Can we stay up late? Can I go do this ? Can I go do that? Can we swim after dinner until really late? Can we go for ice cream? Can I finish the book I am reading? Stay in PJs all day? -is simply
sure, why not
have a great March Break, everyone!

As I just commented over on Mutherload – I’m so thankful that the time change falls the weekend starting March break to give us a week to adjust before we go back to normal routines. I plan on having a VERY “Sure, why not” week!

Perfect timing, Nancy…I just got off the phone with my mom, dad, sisters and nieces, who have all headed south for our annual family pilgrimage to South Carolina. I’m feeling a little sorry for myself that the kids and I are here with no plans and nothing to do. Taking a week’s worth of precious vacation days and not having exciting travel plans was feeling like a waste…I’m going to revel in the “sure, why nots?” all week long and let my kids enjoy the freedom!
