We’ve been here for two weeks and have finally gotten over our jet lag and intial maladies. My husband and son arrive tonight and I can’t wait to see them. Last week, my daughter was missing her North American fast food so we made a trip to McDonald’s. There are several locations here – we went to the one at Ampa Mall.
It’s incredible how the fries in India can taste exactly the same as the ones in Toronto! I love the regional changes they make to the menu to make it more Indian. With a largely vegetarian population, the Indian McD’s has many meatless options. We tried this one, the McAloo tikki, a burger made out of a potato patty, a bun, onions and lots of spicy chaat masala. It was delicious.

My greatest regret from our latest trip to India was that I didn’t get a chance to have the McAlloo Gobi! Eat a couple more tikkis for me before you leave. I am SOOO impressed that Boy was able to travel alone with Dad – he’s been a jet set kid since he was small but this semi-solo (ie: without Mummy) trip really shows how independant and secure you have raised him! Very very impressive xo

When we are in New Zealand my husband always loves to stop at McDonald’s for the Kiwiburger. This burger consists of a beef patty, an egg fried in a round shape, beetroot, tomato, lettuce, Mainland cheese, onions, tomato sauce, and mustard on a toasted bun. My husband thinks it delish, have not tried it myself.

i love the vegetarian options – even though it’s fried, you feel lighter eating it and it’s less risky

Why can’t they offer that at McD’s here in Canada? I would consider eating there if they did!
Hope the rest of your trip is more enjoyable without any illnesses and no jet lag!
