We just came back from a fun and festive week in Calgary with my husband’s family. It was great family time, and it’s always hard to leave. Here are just a few pics from my holiday culinary adventures with the Girl!
Stay tuned to my blog – my next post will be from India! I’m headed there tomorrow after four years. I’m so excited to see my relatives and participate in a big family wedding. I’m hoping to figure out how to post pics from there.
Here’s the Girl hands deep in sticky sticky sugar cookie dough.
Here’s our holiday staple: shortbread decorated with festive maraschino cherries!
Beginning the Gingerbread house.
And the finished product!

Amreen, we did the same Gingerbread houses (they were fantastic & soooo easy to assemble, create-a-treat.com, a Canadian company, btw) for a fun little activity with two new friends & their kids. 9 kids, 4 gingerbread houses, & 3 moms equaled a really fun afternoon! The only thing we moms agreed is we’d bring the pitcher of Margaritas next time!!!

Those are some great looking cookies! Yum!
Glad to hear you made it back safely from Calgary and, wow, off to India! What an adventure that will be! Can’t wait to read about it and see some beautiful photos.
Travel safe and have a wonderful New Year!
