I used to be a planner. “Brunch, of course!” “Dinner, oh yes!”, “Coffee, why not?”
I miss getting dressed up and going out and about, exploring the latest hottest resto or cafe. The reality is, however, that I’m just too tired. Three little ones keep me on my toes, and lately, I’m just as happy to meet up with a friend at the park for a chat a la swingset, or fall asleep with my husband on the sofa before 10pm.
Fun now comes in different packages, but it’s all good. Here are some highlights from this past weekend:
1. The season finale of Lost. OMG. Unbelievable. From the powerful opening scene to the stunning end, every moment was riveting and brilliant. Can’t believe that I have to wait until next February to satiate my hunger for this incredible show.
2. The Girl was invited to a pottery-making birthday party. I love arts and crafts, and we had so much fun, designing and painting her jewelry box. Quality time with my Girl – super fun!
3. Going for a walk with my Dad and sipping coffee with him and my baby in the park. Peaceful, green and sweet.
4. Having my husband with me for three whole days. Working in the garden with him, reading the Sunday Times, and chasing after our babies. Just having him around made everything kind of special.
5. I had a great workout today. Finally, after months of feeling not-so-great, I can feel my fitness level improving. I feel stronger and more alive. Thank God for exercise. Right now, it’s a natural drug that I can’t get enough of.

Getting outside in the garden is the best life enhancer going! I have to soak my sweet pea seeds before I can plant them, must prioritize…the seeds will not plant themselves 😉 Glad your life is happening in a flexible, good way 😀

Isn’t there a song that goes:
It’s not having what you want it’s wanting what you have…
Words to live by. (Especially in this economy!)

Those all sound like exactly the right kind of fun! Glad you have the perspective to take in these moments for the great times they really are!
