Well by now most of you already know what a handful Ryley is, but the past few weeks have been tiresome.
After months of waiting for speech therapy it finally began. The first week was great. He was excited and really tried hard in his session. The second week……. well the enthusiasm was gone and when I told him it was time to do his special work at home he groaned said it was too hard and he would do it later. I didn’t press it. I asked him if maybe we could work on his other work – the tracing book. Nope he wanted nothing to do with that either. He told me he was going to go clean his room.
WTH????????????????????????? Really???? On a Sunday??? Clean his room???????
Something was going on but I figured I would take the wait and see approach.
Well as things usually go in this house I got busy with laundry, baby’s, cooking, cleaning – you know the fun stuff. Then a few hours later I realized I had left my cell phone in the van so I went out to get it. I noticed a garbage bag infront of the garage. The mama radar went up a few notches.
I asked who had put the garbage bag outside. Ryley yelled out to me from upstairs.
“Oh I did. I’m cleaning my room remember?”
Like duh gee how could I forget?
“Are you sure it’s all really garbage?” I asked.
“Yes!”
I went back outside. The garbage bag wasn’t tied so I peered inside.
This is what I saw.
Holy crap! He threw out his homework! Speech therapy book and all. I thought Sebastian had topped it when he once put his homework in the freezer! Whatever happened to “my dog ate it?” Okay well we don’t have a dog but he could have blamed it on Thatcher or Tanner! I thought Sebastian had topped it when he once put his homework in the freezer! Ryley wins hands down on this one and he is only 5! I hate to see what he is like in few more years!
So please enlighten me! What extremes have your children gone to get out of doing homework?
Until next time,

40 years in the garage and the original owner. This is too good to be true but here it is in Hemmings Blog. It will look like this again

So the pols have gone deep into caucus,
And the voters have reason to dread;
For the Bolsheviks tend to get raucous,
When liberty hangs by a thread!

Ohhhh yes, I recognize the SLP package…you have a very crafty mind in that one of your!!. It would have been even better if Ryley had convinced a sibling to tie the bag!!
