I haven’t posted much lately and as much as I would love to be able to tell you that I have been on an a month long cruise without any children, or travelling the world, I can’t. No my friends, unfortunately there is a very unexciting reason.
My laptop decided it was time to depart from me.
It was very sudden and unexpected I might add. About a month or so ago I was doing some work on it when I realized the time. I saved my work, grabbed my sweater and babies and headed out of the house to pick up Joshua from school.
Later on after all the children were home, fighting, and screaming I went to go finish the post I had been writing, but my computer was dead. No blue screen just black – the sign of death. I tried to get it to start up but nothing happened. Panicked I called Joshua my amazing techo guy to come tell me what the problem was.
After an hour or so of messing around with it my boss told me the sad news. My beloved laptop wasn’t coming back. No warning at all – just simply gone.
Needing to move forward I informed my husband what had happened and being a nice guy he ordered two new laptops online. We were already in the process of having decided that we would get Joshua and Marie new laptops as they need them and then Arielle and Sebastian could have theirs. Arielle requires one due to her learning disability and Sebastian has fine motor issues so it made sense for them both to have their own.
Well I am still waiting for the laptops to arrive. Apparently it wasn’t stated that they were not in stock! It has been over a month that I haven’t had one and I am shocked to realize how much I actually depended on the little guy! Sure I can use Marie or Joshua’s but this in itself has proven to be extremely difficult. They both need them for their school work (and both being gifted they get a lot) so by the time they are done with them it is very late and during the days with the twins running rampant I am getting my daily dose of exercise by chasing them around. I have been assured that if they haven’t arrived by the 18th of October then something will be done about it.
Sigh. Why did you have to leave my dear friend?
Have you been stuck without access to a computer? How did it affect you and your family?
Until next time,
Chantel, momof8crazymonkeys

we tend to do with our desktop most of the time, as our netbook is sad at best, though better than the last laptop, which had a glass of water spilled into the keyboard, and lived with a separate keyboard plugged into it at all time. 😛
(Also better than the one I dropped down the stairs when I tripped on the cord. I am awesome at laptops.) Fortunately for me, I am also at a computer at work all day!
