So after reading my first post child actors maybe you’ve decided that your child may be suitable for life in the limelight. However before you jump onto the red carpet there are a few things you need to know.
You will need an agent, and for every legitimate agent there are another two that are not so legit. You also need to decide if you want an agent that deals just with modelling or one that deals with acting only or both. The best place to find an agent is through friends you may know who have children in the biz and through what is known as ACTRA. The ACTRA website is here: http://www.actratoronto.com/
NEVER pay an agent any money! The only money an agent will get is what he or she earns from the work your child does. This varies with agents but is usually about 15%, although some agents may charge 15% for acting jobs and 20% for modelling. It is not necessary to get professional photographs done when you are just starting out, and most parents these days have a decent digital camera that can take great pictures.
The only money that you may pay out is for what is called a casting workbook. A casting workbook is essentially an online resume that is set up by a company and not your agent, although your agent has access to it. Is a casting workbook necessary and required? No it is an option but if you are serious you should have one. Casting agents do look at them and are able to see your child’s demo reels, pictures and resume. They are not expensive and depending on your child’s age and the package you want they run anywhere from $40 – $100 a year.
Finally it is important to remember that this has to be something that your child wants to do, not a dream of your own.
Until next time,

Good morning! Hope you are having an awesome day! I actually have a surprise for you today – check this out: It really works!!! I won’t say a whole lot since the FREE vid basically goes over everything but I have been using it since it was in beta, roughly 5 months with my blogs. The tool just does all the heavy lifting for you and I’ve been generating between $1,100 to $2,000 weekly for almost 4 months…! Ok the only con with it is that it’s not always 100% reliable but on average that’s been my earnings from If you’re clever and not a bleeding heart (unlike me haha), you will not tell anyyyyyone about it . Just keep it to yourself and earn bank hard. See you on the other side.

This is the best site for anybody who desires to find out about this topic. You notice so much its nearly onerous to argue with you (not that I truly would want…HaHa). You undoubtedly put a brand new spin on a subject thats been written about for ages. Nice stuff, simply nice!

People should write more articles like this… Excellent

How completely out of line.

Dave you must be reading the wrong post or just shooting from the mouth. This post has nothing to do with my “hardships”. Why not try reading a different post and then feel free to post the same comment. I am sure I can give a satisfactory reply to such a harsh question when it is actually relevant:)

You appear to discuss a great deal about “your hardships;” what are you actually doing to raise your children?
