THIS, friends, is the view from my bedroom window this morning:
Shall I remind you of the date? October 13 (only October)! This is Thanksgiving, people! I can’t take this kind of [expletive] right now.
Oh, and as a bonus, my kids have a day off school. WOO. HOO.
(It’s not that I don’t love them and all, so don’t go judging me, but they do make an inordinate amount of mess when they are home all day! And this is their fifth day home in a row. It’s going to take me a week to dig my way out. And then I’ll have to shovel the driveway. ***heavy sigh***)

I am not telling you a white lie! You have enough white! I grew up in a ski town and I know what tons of snow is like. Now I live in BC’s lower mainland and I actually miss the snow. Here we get rain, rain and more rain so snow can actually be exciting…unless you have to drive. Apparently people can’t learn winter driving in the rain. Dress warmly Kath!

Violet, I live in Calgary – F*#@ed up weather capital of Canada!

wow! so sorry for you – hugs!

Kath – OMG where to you live, I thought it was cold in Hamilton, I could not imagine waking up to this this early in the year. I do remember however 15 years ago taking my then 1 1/2 year old daughter trick or treating and it was snowing which totally freaked me out.
Hopefully the warmer weather will be here SOON, (I know not soon enough), I really am not a fan of winter either. I think I should have been born in the south. It could be worse I guess, I just keep thinking of the cozy nights I get to look forward to.
Cheer up!
