“You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes”

                               Winnie -the -Pooh

I should leave this quotation alone as it stands so perfectly.
But I want to put it into my notes before you go file to send off with my daughter. And add a few bits
Happiness does not land on your lap, nor does opportunity. Friendship does not feed off memories. Staring at your belly button will make your belly button seem more important than it is.

go to them

I think you go to them for YOU and if it is not what they want it does not matter – you went for you not for them
does that make sense? That seems to have worked for me more times than I can count

Nance – I love this and will use it when I send my eldest off. Everything, including friendships, require attention. Memories alone are not enough to sustain it. You need to be a good friend to have a good friend.
