Now that summer is just about at the half-way mark, you may be looking for a few ideas to fill in last-minute holes in your calendar? So, what do you prefer? City or cottage country for a quick getaway?
I’m in that mode myself. In between summer camps we’d love to getaway with the kids as a family but didn’t book anything in advance. I know there are really great options for fast and fun getaways that would cater to our needs. My older son is more outdoorsy and adventurous. Hubby wants a place that is nice and has options of doing stuff …or not. He’s so structured during his work week that while we are on vacation he likes the options of doing everything or nothing. Little guy just got braces in so he’s in a bit of “glued to mommy” mode and needs comfort food and a little activity. I wouldn’t mind a little “me time” at a spa while we’re away too. We’ve been checking out a few spots and we’ve zoned in on the Deerhurst Resort for a couple days to get away from the city and to actually be able to swim in a clean lake is a bonus coming from the city!
