When Ryan mentioned about the scent of fresh pumpkin, I totally knew what he meant. It’s one of those scents that bring back memories. The scent of the fall.
There are many smells this season that brings warm and fuzzy feelings! Fresh apples picked from the orchard, the smell of cinnamon spice, and pumpkin pie. The smell of fallen leaves and Tootsie Rolls.
But then there’s the scent of something wicked…remember Elvira, Mistress of the Dark? Yes, she’s pretty wicked. The famous weekly on-screen horror comedic movie hostess played by Cassandra Peterson gained popularity on Los Angeles television in the 1980s. She quickly gained pop culture status with her flippy California “valley girl” attitude and her tight-bodied vampy dresses. Known for her good humour and self-mockery, Elvira continues to be a strong character particularly around Halloween. Elvira is always resurrecting herself in various ways including a fragrance collaboration! I KNOW what you’re thinking. But this is fun and it’s Halloween remember?
I’m playing Zombie Mom this Halloween and if you’ve ever wondered what a Zombie smells like? Well, she’s mysteriously beautiful, dark, and spooky fun! Yes, I know because I was sent the Elvira DARK collection of fragrances from the Demeter Fragrance Library.
ZOMBIE: Her scent puts you in a trance. With Ylang Ylang and Red Poppies grounded with Tobacco Leaves and Black Vanilla Bean is what sexy is made of.
VAMP: Poisonous Belladonna, Dracula Orchid and the Nicotiana plant form the deep, dark heart of this fragrance along with peppery Maile Leaves and Ivy finished off with a subtle note of Madagascar Vanilla, white musk and Mandarin Peel is intoxicating.
BLACK ROSES: made with Rose Water Tea, Thorny Stem Bulgarian Rose Petals and Davana Blossom are topped with Red Currants and anchored by earthy Patchouli, Dark Amber and Haitian Vetiver is dark and deliciously beautiful.
