Hello Holly

December 26, 2012 by Christine

Eva had 1 thing on her Christmas list. A baby doll.
She went and saw Santa 3 times and each time all she asked for was a baby doll.
On Christmas morning her wish came true when she unwrapped her gift from Santa.

Her face says it all.

She got her baby. Santa also brought brought a pack’n play for the doll to sleep in.
We spent the day trying to think of a name for this new addition to our family. We thought it should have a name reflective of the season, since Santa brought her at Christmas.
Noelle? Mary? Ivy? Eva settled on Holly.

I gotta say, Holly is pretty life like. We have been referring to this toy as her or she (is that creepy?). We caught my mum watching tv with the doll on her lap, rubbing it’s feet as though it were real.
I’ve caught myself holding it, rubbing it’s back like it needs a burp (is that creepy?).
Creepy is the word most used to describe Holly on facebook when I posted my Christmas album.
I think she’s adorable.

What do you think? Cute? Creepy?
In any case, it is Eva’s favourite gift received this Christmas.
Cuyler’s was his new blue Nintendo 3DSXL.
Cam’s was his new purple Grit scooter.
Was Santa good to you? Share! What was your favourite gift received?

a bedside clock with REALLY BIG NUMBERS! i’m blind as a bat and hate not knowing the time in the middle of the night. i mean, i gotta know if i should actually get up to visit the washroom or if i should suck it up for an hour and go back to sleep 🙂
i think it’s nice that she wanted just a doll for christmas. that wonderful, simple thing doesn’t seem to happen anymore!
