Well, last year this time I was already wearing heels and bare legs to the World MasterCard Fashion Week runway shows. Sadly, this year old man winter decided to stick around! BUT Never mind. It’s the time of year when some of the best established and emerging Canadian fashion designers strut their latest creations down the runways to industry peeps, fashion mavens and influencers alike.
Izzy Camilleri opened up Fashion Week featuring her newest ready-to-wear line MIZ by Izzy Camilleri that will be out for Fall/Winter 2013 (available online in August).
The collection featured beautiful pieces in jersey, stretch wool twill, and faux leather in blacks, greys and browns. Patterns featured houndstooth and animal prints.
The line is created was created for the confident woman. According to the press release following the show it’s for “the confident woman who doesn’t want to look like who she was, but who wants to look like the woman she is.”
Camilleri is an established designer who’s designs have been worn by A-listers including Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Mila Kunis and Kelly Clarkson.Oh, btw….that fur coat worn by Meryl Streep in the film The Devil Wears Prada was also designed by Camilleri!
