Many moons ago, before we had kids, we used to host an annual Halloween party at our home and I loved it! The costumes, the pumpkin carving, the candy. Good times. Then we (and all our friends) went and had a trillion babies and the focus shifted to taking toddlers trick-or-treating, so the Halloween party was forgotten. But forgotten NO MORE. After a seven year hiatus, we resurrected it and everyone ditched their kids, donned their costumes and celebrated all night long.
All of our pals are excellent sports and really got into dressing up, which makes it so fun!
Do you have Halloween plans for yourself this year, or just your kiddos? Happy Halloween!!

I usually dress up for work, but today, in a meeting with four others in a tiny room all day, it seemed like it would be weird. but i did dress up to hand out candy, at least! Poison Ivy presided on our porch this year.

I love Halloween 🙂 I always dress up for school that day. This year I was planning to be a bumble bee, but some of my students convinced me to go as Gru, and they’re dressing up as minions (yes, I Pinterest-ed out in August and I now have a minion-themed classroom). Should be fun!

What don’t you like? The candy? The fun? The lasting memories of joy? 🙂 Just kidding. I have lots of friends who share in your hatred of it, so no judging.
