As most of you who follow my blog know, we have been living through over 6 months of a massive home renovation. One of the biggest and most demanding parts of the project was the kitchen. Looking at the pictures below from start to finish makes it seem like just a flash in time but it has been a loooong haul. We are absolutely thrilled with the result! Our beautiful Whirlpool White Ice appliances add a feel of luxury to the decor while providing us with top notch function. The design of the kitchen wouldn’t be the same without the sleek IKEA high gloss white cabinets. Our open concept kitchen was meant to act as a backdrop for the accenting colours and decor and it does just that while providing its own luxurious feel. With the open concept look we needed a paint that was sleek but not too flashy. I am IN LOVE with our Lunch at Tiffany’s colour throughout the house from Para Paints. But, don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself in the pics below!
- This made loving my kitchen very difficult.
- The beginning of the demolition.
- Looking into what was the old kitchen on the right.
- The old wall between the dining room and the kitchen is gone.
- And…we have walls!
- Getting all wired and ready to go.
- The beautiful floors are in!
- We are back in the house and this is our kitchen.
- We had to make a few adjustments to the kitchen to incorporate our fabulous Whirlpool White Ice appliances.
- The IKEA cabinets are getting installed. Could this be the home stretch?
- Hooray! My Whirlpool White Ice double ovens are in. We can actually cook.
- Finally the counter tops are in. Almost a fully functional kitchen!
- My beautiful, sleek white kitchen is done!
- It was a long haul but we love our new kitchen!
Wow. It looks so, so beautiful Jen.
After having gone through a few renos ourselves, just looking at the photos of the process makes me tired, but that end result? SO WORTH IT. Beautiful choices, Jen!
