A LOT has happened in the last few weeks. We are out of the house and squatting living quite happily in my sister’s basement. But the biggest transformation is the house. Seriously, you can’t believe it unless you see it. So, that is exactly what I am going to do – show you.
I have highlighted some pictures of the transformation below in the post but I have also created an album at the bottom of the post to give you even more of a sense of the change. The demolition part of the project is both nerve wracking – our home looks so much like a crack house our neighbours were joking that we’d see Rob Ford arrive any minute 🙂 – and exhilarating. The potential is boundless when you see everything stripped down to its bare bones.
But I’ll let you decide for yourself:
This was the back of our house with the small family room addition before.
Within days it looked like this!
This was our teeny-tiny bathroom before.
This is what is left of the bathroom now. Look at how small it was!
This was a view from our living room through to the back of the house before.
This is the view now. SCARY STUFF. And the ceilings come down today…
As someone so prophetically said to me, “this part of the renovation is the storm before the calm.” Most definitely!
So, what do you think? Are we crazy or do you see the potential too?
