OK – so I know there is a Food TV show with the same type of concept… but I thought this would be an awesome way to share some of my food experiences with you all.
- The homemade blintzes at Jack’s Deli & Restaurant in Cleveland
I don’t have a huge sweet tooth, and blintzes are generally not at the top of my list. However, I make an exception whenever I’m in Cleveland. Jack’s blintzes are absolute perfection. Served alongside sour cream, cherry and/or blueberry sauce the light fluffy cheese interior, and pan fried paper-thin wrapping, make for an nearly heavenly combination.
- Gordon Ramsay’s Scrambled Eggs
So this is one that I make at home all the time. This slight adjustment on your standard scramble makes for the most incredible result. These light and creamy eggs are really hard to describe. You really need to try them to believe how much better your breakfasts can be. Served on a piece of toast alongside a cup of coffee… and it’s a perfect start to the day.
- Harry & David’s Northwest Smoked Salmon
First things first, Harry & David’s smoked salmon is nothing like lox. It is a salmon filet that has been smoked in a smokehouse using heat, so it is not raw. What it is, is incredible. My in-law’s always seem to get a package of this treat during the holidays and I have fond memories of sharing an entire package with my wife’s grandfather. The two of us could polish off the whole thing.
- Montreal Bagels in Old Montreal
In life we all need to take a stand. Don’t get me wrong – I do love the puffy NY bagel… but if we’re talking about the best thing I ever ate, I’ve got to go with a sweet, dense Montreal bagel hot out of a wood-fired oven.
- The lattes at Everday Gourmet
Tucked away in the lower level of the St. Lawrence Market this hidden gem has been in business for over 30 years. Roasting their own coffee beans in an antique roaster, there is something magical about the java that flows at Everyday Gourmet that you just can not get at the big brand coffee shops.

I live in Cleveland and I’ve never heard of that place. Thanks!

I’ll go with the Harry & David’s Northwest Smoked Salmon. It is truly one of the finest and healthy, too. Living a healthy life can lessen your risk to horrible diseases. And I believe that practicing healthy eating habit is better than a pound of cure. You won’t go wrong when you keep your body healthy.
