The Perfect Après-Ski Winter Cocktail

January 27, 2015 by Marianne Litman Leave a Comment

Picture this: you’ve just finished a long day on the ski hill. The kids are in bed in your chalet (finally) and it’s just the adults chatting around the fire, enjoying a few moments of grown-up time.

Now look down at your hand… what are you drinking? Wine? Beer? Or are you drinking the most delicious, warm cocktail you have ever had?

Maybe a week ago you would have had a glass of wine. But the next time you find yourself in need of a warming beverage with a bit of kick, we’ll bet you’ll be sipping on a Mulled Currant Tea instead.

This recipe makes one cocktail so be sure to up the ingredients if you are making for a large group of people.

CaptureIngredients

4 oz NESTEA Blackcurrant

1 oz Amber rum

5 drops cardamom bitters

Cinnamon sticks for garnish

Directions

1. Heat NESTEA Blackcurrant to just below boiling.

2. Remove from heat and add rum.

3. Pour into cups and add bitters.

4. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and enjoy!

And if the kids are joining you, we’ve got the mocktail version that’s perfect for the kiddies, designated drivers, expecting moms or anyone else skipping the rum!
