It’s getting warmer out there…
I have to say that butterflies tend to be my least favourites in motifs in clothing for girls. (Hearts are a close runner-up.) Oftentimes, I find the images insipid, badly drawn, and too boldly coloured. And the backdrop is usually some form of pink… it’s sometimes all just too much. (But that’s just me.)
That said, I saw this sundress recently, and knew Madame would love it… the butterflies are identical in shape, but slightly larger versions laid over one another (patterns hide dirt-from-the-day better than solids) and the colour scheme is exactly right for her. Plus it twirls a bit when she spins, which is the best part about being four-years-old.
