Almost 14 years ago, my husband and I started to decorate our very first baby’s room. We didn’t know whether said baby was a boy or a girl, but I had very strong feelings about the decor. I’d found a wallpaper border with Beatrix Potter illustrations, and the rest of the room fell into place around Peter Rabbit, Jeremy Fisher, Tom Kitten and Mrs.Tittlemouse.
Originally published more than 100 years ago, the stories of Beatrix Potter and the accompanying illustrations have been part of many generations of childhood, and it seems appropriate that this year, Gap has introduced a limited edition collection for babyGap inspired by the author and her captivating book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
The collections ranges in size from newborn to 24 months, and includes graphic bodysuits, brightly coloured denims, adorable one-pieces and patterned dresses. Prices range from $9.95 to $59, and there’s something for every baby you’re buying for this season.
My own little bunny now towers over me, but I’ll always have a special spot in my heart for Peter Rabbit, and I love that a brand new generation can be introduced to these classic through beautiful clothing and whimsical accessories.
