I think I’ve mentioned before how I sometimes have trouble with colour. Well… oops, I did it again. In December, I think – just when I was looking for a pick-me-up.
I like the colour of this sweater, I mean I guess… and there’s nothing bad about a crew neck sweater (though v-necks are often better on me) and I like this shade of fuschia just fine, and I loves me some leopard prints, too.
But I’ve tried pairing this top with jeans in different colours and washes, and I’ve tried it with a denim skirt, and with a satin pencil skirt (and everything was okay and wearable) but I’m not loving it in any of the ways. I’ve put this sweater on, and then pulled it off again two minutes later, too many times to count now, which is a sign that that spells bad things for this garment.
It was a very short love affair, but a big girl knows when it’s time to move on. I feel weird whenever we’re together. I wish I loved you more… but I just don’t.
Perhaps had this colour and pattern combo been in a silk scarf instead, or say, the lining of an excellent purse, I would have loved it very hard… but I think it’s fair to say I made a bad choice. I’m sick of seeing it on my shelf, mocking me about my foolish ways every time I open my closet doors… so it’s time to go, sweater.
Thanks for nothing… I hope you find some good times with someone else.
