Holiday Fashion Trends at Old Navy & An Event and a Contest You Don’t Want to Miss!

The holiday season’s around the corner and I’ve accepted a few events into my calendar that I know will afford me a chance to BE SOCIAL and also require me to DRESS UP! I capitalize to show my excitement and enthusiasm here.

If you’re equally excited about the opportunity to party, but not sure about what you should be wearing to these festivities, you’ll want to pop into Old Navy in the next couple of weeks.

Old Navy’s long been a favourite for my friends and me. It’s a place you can drop into, find a few key pieces to update your wardrobe and walk out without spending the equivalent of a monthly mortgage payment. Recently I chatted with an Old Navy spokesperson about the hot trends for Holiday Fashion and how we can find those trends at our local Old Navy store or online.

I love the simplicity of a dress. It’s a one-piece no-brainer that acts as a canvas; you add the accessories that make it “you”. What hostess wouldn’t love to start with this beautiful bright dress. Priced under $30, you won’t worry about going overboard on the shoes…or the jewerly…or the lipstick…or the new hairstyle…

Don’t be shy. Rock out those patterned jeans because you only live once. Holiday dressing means adding a little extra oomph, so leave the dark denim for another night, and pick up these trendy animal print pants. Priced at $44.94, dress them up with a blouse and boots, or down with a sweater and flats.

Priced under $25, this sparkle tank top is the piece that you’ll pull out of your closet again and again and again. I love its simplicity in this nude colour, but if you’re feeling daring, go bright.

You may consider a winter coat a big item purchase, but you don’t have to spend a fortune to look on-trend and stay warm. I love this military-inspired coat with the faux fur trim. I know I’d feel much more festive heading over to a neighbour’s party wearing this than my down filled parka! Priced under $85, it’s not going to break the bank.

I don’t know about you, but I must have some massive moths who have gone to town on my winter accessories during the off-season. I’ve got a half-dozen gloves that have somehow lost their mates along the way. No sense crying over lost mittens, my little kittens, when you can pick up a few fun pair like these to keep for chilly days and nights.

No excuses now….accept those invitations and pick up a few fun frocks. The holiday season’s coming and we can all get dressed to party!
