Lookit me, not wearing black for once!
To be fair, Bedo had this blouse in black, and it was divine, but I forced myself to get this nude-pink one instead, and I do believe I’m in love. The blushy tone is good on me, and I’m really digging this shade of pink this year – feels fresh and flirty, especially with the ruffles… and you know how I dig ruffles, right? (And you know how I dig sales, right? Thank you, Bedo!)
I also picked up these super stretchy jegging-type jeans in a super-dark wash when my friend Patricia Carter came to visit a few weeks back – we did some quick and dirty shopping around town to find her some splendid and very twirly dancing dresses (she’s a Latin-dance queen) but we ended our spree at the place that rhymes with Sinners, which is where I snagged these dumb pants. I still hate how the front pockets are sewn shut, but… meh. They’re super-skinny and look great in tall boots. Plus the bling on the belt really shines against the dark wash. BLING is fun!
I’ve got a year-end school performance for my preschooler followed by raffle-ticket sales (my one and only volunteer duty this year – bad mummy!) and then probably lunch out with my girl. She wanted me to look pretty… This is as good as it gets for a semi-rainy Wednesday, kid.
ruffled tank blouse, pink – Bedo, $50 $25 sale
dark wash skinny jeggings, Blue Spice – Winners, $25
blingy belt in antique silver, Guess – Winners (not new)
python print rainboot, Däv – Winners, $35
Pretty! But we are in a heat wave here, so the very IDEA of jeans is making me fainty. I’m wearing a dress that is practically gauze right now.
Boy it’s tough to venture away from wearing black…but as summer rolls around, I’ll gradually work in some splashes of colour! Starting with my pedicure. 😉 Love blingy belts! I’ve stocked up recently!
Blingy belts, yo… you can’t go wrong, really. I’m wearing BLUSH PINK, Sonya. I don’t even know who I am… 😉
i’ve started to embrace the skinny jean. i’m thankful i can pull it off but i’m also tired of scrunching my bootlegs in my boots!
Wear them well, lady – and wear them every day. Scrunch be gone!!
