“As a parent, you find yourself doing crazy things for your kids.”
Isn’t that the truth.
Parents will go to extreme lengths to try to make sure their kids have everything they need and want.
I vividly remember a story about me being sick, my dad and FIMO, that weird clay that you could bake that was super popular with kids back in the Nineties.
I had been home sick from school for almost a whole week with one thing or another—probably strep throat—and I was pretty down in the dumps. At the time I was obsessed with making beads and little animals out of FIMO. It was my go-to activity, especially now that I was sick.
That night, my dad came home with a bunch of new FIMO in cool new colours for me. I was thankful and so happy. But what I found out later on was that my dad drove to four different craft shops to find the stuff! Just so that he could bring it home after work to put a smile on my sick face.
Dads are seriously the best.
A new video just released by Quaker reminds us all just how far parents will go to spend time with their kids while they are still kids. So, if you were given the chance to do something you always wanted to do but you had to start today, would you?
My gosh, if it didn’t make me tear right up and feel the need to give my own Super Dad a call!
This dad is amazing. This daughter is adorable. This mom’s reaction is pretty much everything you’d expect when your hubby is suddenly MIA right before your kid’s dance recital!
And don’t even get me started on the behind the scenes footage.
How great would all of our lives be if we just took a page out of Lauren and her dad’s book and decided that goodness starts today? What would you change in your life?
This post has been brought to you by Quaker, but the images and opinions are my own.
