We are asking big questions right now. Questions like: how do we want to live, how do we want to work, what are the real priorities for our life and family? It’s so easy to rattle off phrases like, “My kids and marriage come first!” but then live as though the opposite is true, giving all your best to clients, your work, your goals, so that there’s nothing left for those who supposedly come first.
I feel a change brewing for us. The past ten years have been so full, of good things, yes, but also many overwhelming and never-ending projects which, when you add them all up, have us basically prepped for a trip to the Loony Bin. We are feeling the pull to scale back, to stop climbing the ladder, to stop and just be.
I am not sure what it’s going to look like, but these big questions feel like they are going to have answers sooner rather than later.
Are you asking any big questions? Are you answers on the horizon or have they already made themselves known?

I feel like now that every member of our family is here (no more babies!), we can finally start to figure out what we want to do with the rest of our lives. Big questions indeed.

Ahhh, lady… I know. These things are never as obvious or basic as one might think. One day at a time… xox
