No parent wants to admit it, and every child believes it to be them. The favourite child. Do they actually exist?
Well according to a new app created by FCB New Zealand, in honour of the amazingly hilarious Modern Family series, the favourite child most certainly does exist and can be found by analyzing social media data. The Favourite Child Detector analyses parents Facebook behaviour—“likes”, tags, comments and photos—to discover which child is their favourite.
If your parents or kids, aren’t active on Facebook just yet or if you are an only child (otherwise known as the default winner!), you can still have fun finding out who your friends, colleagues or even your family pet favours the most!
They even break down the analysis piece-by-piece so you can see exactly why you are or are not the favourite. Maybe you aren’t interacting with your parents enough or maybe your parents just aren’t liking your selfies on a regular basis. Want to change your ranking? Start tagging your parents like crazy and “like” their posts like it’s going out of style.
I was pretty excited, but not too surprised, to see that I was both my mom and dad’s favourite! I’m pretty popular in my group of friends, too! (I’m taking this with a grain of salt, though. Maybe the reality is that I am just way too active on Facebook!)
Were you the favourite in your parents eyes and, if you dare divulge, who was your favourite?
