The first look at the trailer for “The Little Prince” is now out and it is as sweet as the classic book. This is the first-ever animated feature film adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s iconic masterpiece.
At the heart of the story, This Little Girl (Mackenzie Foy), is being prepared by her mother (Rachel McAdams) for the very grown up work in which they live only to be interrupted by her eccentric, kind-hearted neighbour, The Aviator (Jeff Bridges). The Aviator introduces his new friend to an extraordinary world where anything is possible. A world that he himself was initiated into long ago by The Little Prince (newcomer Riley Osborne).
It’s here that The Little Girl’s magical and emotional journey into her own imagination and into the universe of The Little Prince begins. And it’s where The Little Girl rediscovers her childhood and learns that ultimately, it’s human connections that matter the most, and that what’s truly essential can only be seen with the heart.
Published in 1943, The Little Prince is a universal and timeless work that ranks among the most sold and translated books in the world, with more than 145 million copies in more than 270 languages and dialects.
The film is directed by Mark Osborne, Academy Award nominated director of Kung Fu Panda. Voices of Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, James Franco, Paul Rudd, Benicio del Toro, Paul Giamatti, Ricky Gervais, Albert Brooks, Bud Cort and Riley Osborne.
The film will be in theatres Christmas 2015.
