It’s Friday and it’s been a bad week of weather here in Toronto which has us all in a gloomy mood. Luckily, it’s been an entertaining week because celebs have said many entertaining things.
Let’s do a recap of my fave five, shall we?
“Divorce is not an option.”
Singer Miranda Lambert addresses rumours of infidelity regarding her marriage to singer Blake Shelton during the press conference at the Country Music Awards. I love these two together, but if I had a nickel for every time I heard a star say this about their marriage and then get divorced, I’d be richer than Jay-Z.
“I won’t do Botox again, because I looked crazy. I looked like Joan Rivers!”
Gwynneth Paltrow makes this revelation in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar. It’s therefore now official. The definition of “crazy” now has Joan Rivers’ picture beside it. Check out what Rivers had to say about this!
“I think this is an opportunity for me to focus on what I love in life. And I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s a blessing.”
Lindsay Lohan was appearing on David Letterman, and said this in reference to her upcoming May stint in rehab. Great perspective, except this won’t be her first stay in rehab. Which I guess logically makes Lohan one of the most blessed people in Hollywood! Congrats, Lindsay.
“The biggest surprise of my life…Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”
Halle Berry, in her first interview since news of her pregnancy broke last week. Talking to CNN, Berry revealed that her pregnancy at age 46 was a surprise because she was going through menopause. Good for you Halle!
“Oh my God, that’s George Clooney. He’s really short!”
Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau while appearing on Conan O’Brien, recounts the time he literally ran into George Clooney in a stall in the men’s washroom at an awards dinner. Why, why, WHY was I not a fly on the wall for this encounter?

I think history has sadly proven that “Divorce is not an option” quotes we hear so often from stars are meaningless – unless both people involved go on record with that statement!

So true Kath! I had a similar experience. I went to see the James Bond exhibit at TIFF and to my utter shock discovered that Daniel Craig is short. The mannequin which wore his suit was miniscule.
Crushed my fantasy, let me tell you!

Strange prediction quote from Miranda Lambert……Not an option for who? Sounds like business is trumping happiness in this relationship. Not promising.
Kath says
“Oh my God, thats X. He’s really short!” Could apply to any star.
At least that’s the conclusion I drew after towering over most of the statues at Mme. Tussaud’s in Hollywood last year!
