Spooktacular Celeb Costumes

As I get ready to celebrate my favourite holiday of the year, I’m sad that I won’t be able to partake in my usual Halloween tradition.

What is it you may ask?

Checking out what Heidi Klum and Seal will dress up as at her annual Halloween party of course! Ah, the memories…! Since the couple broke up, I’ve had to find other means to satiate my celeb-costume fix.

A quick trip to Twitter netted some wonderful nuggets. So I thought I’d share with you what I found and help get you in the Halloween spirit today.

The popular theme this year seems to be celebs dressing as other celebs. We’ve really come full-circle in the celeb-game, haven’t we?

Ellen DeGeneres as “Sofia Vergara”

You wouldn’t expect anything less than a hilarious take on Halloween from Ellen, right?

So here she is, dressed up as Sofia Vergara at this year’s Emmys. Complete with the wardrobe malfunction.

She tweeted the photo of herself with the real Vergara along with the caption “Good luck telling us apart”.

Miley Cyrus as “Nicki Minaj”

One singer dressing up as another gets you this.

Miley all decked out as Nicki Minaj, complete with leopard unitard, huge blond wig and pink neon lips.

I gotta say, Miley…you pretty much nailed it!

Fergie and Josh Duhamel as “Angelyne and Dennis Woodruff”

Continuing on the “celebs as celebs” theme Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel took their inspiration from Hollywood “self-starters”.

Here’s Fergie’s Twitter pic where she’s dressed up as 80’s Hollywood billboard queen Angelyne. And Duhamel is some guy named Dennis Woodruff. No clue who he is but apparently he’s never made any movies yet is somehow a living legend in L.A. Guess you had to be there…

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as “Mermaid and Sailor”

Ok, I know this isn’t cebs dressing as other celebs, but these two just try sooo hard.

Here we have a blond Kim squeezed into a slinky green mermaid-like dress. Looks a lot like any of her regular outfits to me. BUT, she’s got a blond wig on so that makes it more of a costume I guess.

And Kanye is dressed as a sailor. Well technically, he looks like he should be on a yacht in St. Tropez rather than on a U.S. Navy ship, but I’ll give him points for keeping with the theme. Wait…Kanye, where’s your net?

And back to our celebs-as-celebs theme, the one I enjoyed the most has to be Christina Aguilera. What was her costume? Well…multi-coloured big hair (check!), tight outfit with fishnets (check!) stage makeup (check!).  I’m thinking Christina dressed up as herself.

Dressing up as yourself for Halloween. Now isn’t that the ultimate compliment?
