Another day, another surprise celeb break-up. Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe (48) and his wife – singer Danielle Spencer (43) are separating after nine years of marriage.
The couple first met 22 years ago on a movie set. They eventually married in 2003 and have two sons – Charles (8) and Tennyson (6).
Rumours began circulating yesterday but Crowe didn’t comment. Then, today, The Sydney Morning Herald reported exclusively that the couple are splitting up.
So what’s behind the break-up?
The two haven’t been spending much time together as Spence remained in Sydney most of the summer while Crowe spent most of his time in the United States.
Rumours of trouble began circulating in June when Spencer was seen out at night in Sydney with Damian Whitewood, her partner on Dancing with the Stars. Crowe, meanwhile has been filming movies back-to-back. So much so, that he’s got a total of seven movies coming out this year.
Crowe will next be seen on the big screen as the relentless Inspector Javert in Les Misérables which opens in December.
Yeah, sure makes one wonder doesn’t it?
