The best mom advice ever received?
Let yourself figure it out and do it slowly.
The worst mom advice ever received?
Never let the baby get used to sleeping with you. Too late.
Wish I knew this…. about parenthood? What would that be?
Not so much a “wish I knew” as there’s no understanding the tiredness that falls over you on some days.
Your favourite date night restaurants in Toronto?
La Carnita… anywhere in Leslieville and home sweet home.
Favourite family attractions in the city?
Evergreen Brickworks, Leslieville Farmer’s Market, and the Beach.
Your most memorable interview and why?
For some reason Jane Goodall is the one that always stands out for me. I think because she had such a peaceful, no-nonsense presence about her. She also exuded youthfulness and wisdom at the same time.
Most challenging interview?
Honestly can’t think of one… maybe anything that involves people who’ve experienced a real tragedy.
The best thing about your job?
The interesting and inspiring people we meet everyday. The crew that I work with makes me laugh every single day!
The most challenging thing about your job?
The hours. Getting up everyday at 4 am never gets easy.
What we don’t know about you (but really really really want people to know)?
I’m fluent in Tagalog, I’m tone deaf but oh so desperate not to be, I once did spoken word in a NYC subway (collected all of $3 for my efforts) and Hawaii is my favourite place on earth.
