The Student Creed pledge is required of every student at Leeds Taekwondo studio, even their tiniest one, 3-year-old Sophie Wong.
The school says Sophie is their youngest student. The white belt started learning taekwondo about a month ago, after seeing her 6-year-old brother Harry practice martial arts. Her mom Wendi says she loves to copy her brother’s moves.
She’s obviously a very serious pupil. And seriously adorable, repeating the pledge and performing her little taekwondo moves.
“I’ll use common sense before self-defence and never be abusive or offensive.” Maybe the cutest thing a 3-year-old has ever said?
Ricky Lam, the school owner says “We’re always trying to get the best out of our young people, but for a 3-year-old I’ve never seen this type of focus and dedication. Her attitude is fantastic.”
