Guess Who’s Coming to TIFF

The festival is presenting 372 films in total (289 feature-length and 83 short films) so it’s no surprise that the number of internatonal stars and filmmakers set to hit Toronto’s red carpet is mighty impressive.

Sadly, “my famous husband” (aka George Clooney) will not attend TIFF this year, but I did find plenty of other celebs to get excited about. And so will you.

Eva Mendes and boyfriend Ryan Gosling are rumoured to hit the red carpet together for the first time. Spanish husband-wife actors Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem will be here. As will Halle Berry and Tom Hanks who will be attending the screening of their film Cloud Atlas.

The list of “who’s-who” is very long but I have some highlights. So if you’re planning on attending TIFF screenings or just doing some star-gazing in downtown Toronto, check out a handly little guide below.

Aside from the movie premieres of course, there are TIFF hot-spots where you may want to hang out to do some star-gazing. According to our very own Sonya ( The Cultured Pearl), these include: The Shangri-La Hotel which is slated to open in time for TIFF, The Thompson Hotel, Maison Mercer, Buca, The Spoke Club (this year’s venue for Niki Beach), Sotto Sotto and The Beast.

So get your cameras and sharp eyes ready. September 6th is just around the corner!
