Besides sleep, hands down the thing that I miss most about my pre-kid life is discovering new music. My friends and I are all big music lovers. We’d swap cd’s of awesome new bands that we’d discovered and knew that the others would love. We’d end up at a hole in the wall bar at midnight and hear something amazing. It made me happy.
Today. It’s the Wiggles or Winnie The Pooh (at least I get Zooey Deschanel!) with a side of Sesame Street. I’m blessed that in my day to day job I work in radio, so I am still exposed to some new stuff. It’s being fed to me as opposed to me discovering it myself – but hey….I’m not complaining.
In talking to some of my other new parent friends, they are missing it too. So I thought – Tuesday’s are new release days….so why not highlight someone that I think you guys will love every Tuesday. Let me discover it for you! Tell me what you think so I can get a feeling for what the UrbanMoms (and Dads) are wanting to hear!

Honestly you guys. I’ve been listening to their new release Boys & Girls non stop for the last few weeks. Close your eyes and listen to her voice – Brittany Howard. She’s INCREDIBLE. The whole band is. And this is no one hit wonder. If you like what you hear, just google them and watch all of their stuff. It will make you happy.

I just posted that song on Facebook to share cause I am in love and want share. I happily saw they are playing at Lee’s Palace on May 4th and was about to book then noticed it is 2013 !! I will be there next year!
