Wow. I’m a little slow on the mark on this one guys but can we take a moment to remember Jeff Conaway?? He died this past Friday in LA. He had been on life support for a couple of weeks after an apparent overdoes (although his hasn’t been confirmed).
This makes me sad. Addiction is a terrible disease. And Jeff Conaway will ALWAYS be a part of my, and likely your, childhood.
Grease was one of the first movies I ever saw at a theatre. My sister took me to see it in London, Ontario with her friends (could I be any cooler??).
I’ve since watched it probably a billion times…and I was always Kenickie girl. I always wanted Sandy to dump John Travolta and go for Kenickie. I was always pissed at Rizzo for being mean to him and taking that greaser to the dance. (What the hell was his name??) Didn’t she know he didn’t like Cha-Cha?!?!?!?
Anyway – I’m going to choose to remember Jeff Conaway from those days and thank him for being such an integral part of my growing up!
RIP Kenickie!

Very sad – I remember seeing him on one of those intervention reality shows and thinking how sad his life had become. I loved him in Grease, and in Taxi too.

Yes, that was sad news. I loved Kenickie too… I was a bit young to watch Taxi back in the day, but I remember where his face appears in the opening credits, you know? Shucks. Another one bites the dust…
