Maybe everyone was out enjoying the sunshine because je-sus it was a quiet weekend in celeb land. I’m going to attribute it to an Arnie hangover. Everyone is still taking a few advils, downing some McDs and shaking their heads wondering what happened.
The ‘big’ award show this weekend was the Billboard Music Awards. I use the quotes because really, if it was a big show…would Travis Barker get enough tickets for his kids??
Dude…do you need to carry the sticks? Admittedly, I once walked around a tennis tournament in whites and carrying a bag of rackets hoping to get admittance to the players lounge – so I’ll give him a pass on this one.
I was going to do a hot vs not type of photo display – but frankly, it’s a holiday, my kid just asked me if I was happy so I’ll keep this positive. (But google Fergie, and look at her S&M outfit and Selena Gomez…well..she looked beautiful if she was a Real Housewife of Atlanta).
Oh all right…yes, she looks great – not arguing that. But
well, as a mother of a boy, I’m wondering what the Biebs’ mom is thinking right now.
These next two – I LOVE! I would like to wear both of these, especially Rihanna’s (except my boobs would be down by my knees…just you wait Rihanna). But stop for a minute and play ‘switch the heads’. Couldn’t Rachel MacAdams be in the Rihanna outfit and Nicole Kidman in the Taylor one??? It’s a bit weird.
I’ll leave you with this one….I gather there was a massive tribute to Beyonce last night at the Show. (Admittedly, I was watching fireworks with my kid and skipped it…and no I don’t have a PVR). Good god – she’s not even 30 – tributes??? Anyway, her former Destiny’s Child bandmates were on the red carpet. This picture made me howl, let’s read the body language together shall we??
Kelly (in the awesome ‘band dress’ which I will someday wear to something) is thinking ‘right, I remember this picture thing – wait – lean back, smile.’ Michelle ain’t hiding it as well….’oh yeah, I’m here for my girl B but I’m totally going home and resuming my voodoo doll ceremonies later.’
I also tried to picture my friends and I posing for a picture like this…and I died. Seriously, I’m going to try and recreate for you guys at the next outing!
Finally – did you watch SNL??? That made me wish I had a PVR. I’m a bit of a Lady Gaga fan from a distance. I respect the way she treats her fans and I think she’s pretty grounded. AND she obviously has a sense of humour. Did you see her in the Samberg/Timberlake digital short? Here’s the link….I don’t need NBC hunting me down. Let me know how the rest of the show was!

I thought Britney did a terrible job during her two performances (with Rihanna and Nicki Minaj). I feel bad for the girl. There’s no jump or pop to her performances like she had back in the day. She still seems wobbly and unsure/not confident…
LOVED loved LOVED SNL! I think JT is brilliant and loved that Gaga was in several skits. I watched it when it was on and am watching it again with Sean throughout the day whenever the kids sod off and give us a bit of peace.
