Here’s the thing, you guys.
I am a writer. And one of the things I write about is celebrity news and gossip, if you will. I have interviewed celebrities on red carpets, over lunch and coffee, and even on the phone. I read about celebrities, I like to hear what they are up to, to know who they are dating, to know what movies they are doing, to see what dresses they are wearing to award shows.
I am a lover of movies, television, theater, music. I am a lover of all things celebrity. I won’t deny it.
BUT, you will never find me hiding out behind a bush snapping pictures of someone walking down the street. You will never catch me pulling out a giant camera and disturbing someone’s private meal. I once sat beside Tom Skerritt at an Italian restaurant in Toronto, and the only thing I did was text someone to say…”HEY! I am sitting beside Viper!” But, you guys, that’s where I draw the line.
Sure I like celebrities, I like to photograph them and interview them…but I need it to be on THEIR TERMS. This is why we have red carpets and publicists and scheduled interviews. When I interview celebrities, they are there for a reason and I am there for a reason. They are saying…YES, let’s talk.
This video of Robert Pattinson makes me so sick to my stomach. The flashing bulbs. The look on his face. He is just so defeated. The poor guy. He has NO privacy.
Obviously, I would LOVE the chance to talk to Robert Pattinson. I mean, he’s EDWARD CULLEN. But, you would never catch me being PAPARAZZI. Ever.
