Okay…let’s talk about Jude Law, shall we?
He used to be my number 1. The first dude on the list of MY FIVE. You know, the five that I’m allowed to, um, you know, if I ever got the chance (what? haven’t you seen that episode of friends? no?)
back in the day…
sigh…but then, things changed. He started to lose his hair and what seemed like his mind. He had that whole affair with Daisy Wright the nanny and sort of just fell off the planet.
But, now he’s back in the news. Because he’s a baby daddy. Oh yes, Mr. Jude Law, who is 36, the father of three, starring on the stage as Hamlet (this the hilarity of that headline) and currently single, is going to be a father for the fourth time. His spokesperson released the following statement:
“Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has
been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of
this year. Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual
concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s
life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will
be made.”
So, of course, the rumors began…who was the [lucky?] pregnant lady? There were rumors that the mother was the sister of Law’s Sherlock Holmes co-star Rachel McAdams, but that was quickly shut down.
and then there were the pictures. THESE pictures..
which sort of just gross me out.
Lea Burke, mother of mom-to-be Samantha, stirred things up a bit by talking to a local London paper, basically saying that Jude Law didn’t want the baby. The London Evening Standard quoted Lea: “It would be nice if
the father was around, but that’s not going to happen because of his
job and Samantha knows that.”
But in a recent press conference, Samantha and her mother wanted to clear the air and say that Jude Law is, indeed, supportive of all of this.
“Samantha and her mother would like to be clear that comments
attributed to her and media stories reported in the last 24 hours
regarding Jude’s contact with Samantha, along with his involvement,
were taken out of context,” her lawyer said.
“Jude has been responsive and supportive throughout the relationship and pregnancy and know that he will remain so as a father once baby Sophia is born.”
He added: “Jude and Samantha remain committed to the health and
well-being of this child and appreciate your honoring her privacy
during this special time.”
Before returning inside the house, Burke echoed his request: “I really would appreciate if everyone could respect my privacy. It’s a hard time.”
Samantha, you are a bad troublemaker for Jude and all of us. Pls tell your truth that Jude is not daddy of your baby!!
Um, privacy? This girl has been photographed by paparazzi posing and public like crazy since this broke. I think I smell me a little 15 minutes happening here.
Oh, and btw, what is with that woman’s hand on Jude’s crotch? Sorry but the guy seems a bit pathetic these days, don’t he?
