Apparently, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears and her boyfried Casey Aldridge are HAVING A BABY. Nickelodeon issued a statement this afternoon: "We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being."
"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," Jamie Lynn told OK! Magazine, according to the Associated Press. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he." She and Alrdridge met in church and she is 12 weeks along. And, in case you were wondering, Britney didn’t know about the pregnancy.
Lynn Spears must be feeling pretty proud today.

The Spears family just can’t stay out of the headlines. This “shocking” news has caused the publishers of Lynn Spears’ parenting book to delay publishing. I don’t know why it was even considered in the first place, I can think of several different moms I would rather hear from! Good work, Ali.
I saw this today on the news. Wow. But, good for her for taking responsibility. That would be really tough. Hopefully pregnancy doesn’t make her as crazy as it seemed to make Britney.
