this week…

February 7, 2008 by Jen

what you should see:

Photobucket

Survivor is back starting tonight on CBS. This time around there’s a new twist to the game. It’s Fans vs. Favorites, with the return of some of my favorite Survivors:

JOHNNY FAIRPLAY:

and

OZZY:

and

JAMES:

what you should listen to:

Photobucket

pick up a copy of The Bedlam in Goliath by The Mars Volta. This is the fourth album by the progressive rock band…but this is the first i’ve heard. and i’m loving it. They had me from the first single off the new album, Wax Simulacra. take my word for it…it’s a good one.

what you should buy:

Tova and i bought this game this week. we are so excited to play it on our trip. Basically the way it works is that you have to try to guess the other peoples’ answers to questions like: "Who would you prefer to rub oil on? A) a sumo wrestler or B) an elderly man." or "What would you prefer to snort up your nose? A. slug slime or B. sauerkraut" i cannot wait to play this one!!!

where you should go:

please, please, please go to your friendly neighborhood Cinnabon and eat one for me. They are pretty much all i’m thinking about these days. i’m dreaming about them. mmm.. i even decided that i can’t make these lovely little numbers that Casey over at Linoleum Dynamite so sweetly shared with us. i can’t make them because i will. eat. them. all.

okay, so less than 10 minutes into Survivor and I know I won’t be watching it. I gave up on Survivor quite a few seasons ago when, to me, it seemed to be the same thing over and over. BUT…. oh Ali, I thought I’d give it another shot. Um, no. no go. Johnny Fairplay may add show-stopping-tension but he is just too annoying. I like to watch TV, not spit at it. 🙂

I heart James, Ozzy, Yau-Man and Cirie.
I will root for Amanda and Parvati, too.
I HATE Johnny Fairplay. And Jonathan. But they will always choose a few a**holes for the show, just to create tension.
I have been a loyal Survivorist, watching every single season: basically just for Jeff, who I think is hilarious. Basically, the only two shows I ever watch are Survivor and The Amazing Race. Oh. And The Tudors. We can’t forget The Tudors.

Love Fairplay, he is SUCH an ass.

Re: Survivor. I am a fan of James, Ozzy and Yau-Man, but where did they get the idea that those others are favourites? I like Cirie but I wouldn’t put her as a fave. I think I found her annoying when she was on. Jonathan… Hope it makes for interesting TV.
