Yesterday my sister and I decided to get our families together, invite my dad over and have a little Halloween fun. Our focus was to get the kids involved in carving the pumpkins. A little ghoulish fun with a creative slant. So, we had my dad, our husbands, a 13 year-old boy, a 9.5 year-old girl, a 3.5 year-old girl and a nearly 2 year old boy. This sounds like a recipe for fun, doesn’t it?
But here is how it played out:
The big girl and the moms doing all the work.
So much for fun for everyone! As we gutted and carved, look what the rest of the gang was up to:
Football, couch jumping and napping.
Well, thank goodness for my big girl:
And my sis:
Because together we were able to create these!
BOO! And Happy Halloween.
Who does the pumpkin carving at your house? Do you roast the pumpkin seeds? I do!
