My sister is a teacher, and I remember her once complaining about one of her grade three students who had horrible bad breath. She found it unbearable to sit with this child closely to help with reading. Finally she had to talk to the parents, who were completely unaware of the issue.
Bad breath can certainly be a sign of certain serious health issues, but sometimes it’s just that…bad breath and poor dental hygiene. Tweens have a lot of new hygiene concerns to deal with as they enter puberty, and poor oral health at this stage can play a role in self-esteem, so why not make dental hygiene a little more fun and easy for them?
Oral B has developed and launched a new line specifally for tweens. They recognize that kids that age are beginning to shape their own personal habits and style in clothes, music, food – so why not with their oral health?! Pro-Health FOR ME is the first and only line of oral care products specifically designed for tweens, including toothbrushes, a toothpaste and a rinse, in with flavours and design that will appeal to that group.
My sons (aged 9 and 11) tested these products out and liked them. The flavours weren’t too strong and minty, and the branding was fun and attractive. I like the fact that these products still aim to fight cavities and strengthen enamal, as well as freshen breath.
So do your tweens (and their teachers) a favour and check them out. They’re available in grocery and drugstores across the country.
In the interest of full disclosure, Trend Watch is written by me; all opinions are my own. It is not sponsored. Sometimes I am given free products to review and sometimes I purchase the products all on my own. Oral B gave me a free sample of this product, but I was not compensated for my review.
