Earlier today I was invited to a senior’s residence to show the old kids how to rock Michael Jackson’s face out of an orange orb. (Fun!) When meeting new people, it’s always a good idea to wear something you like and feel good in, right?
Well, I LOVE this little top I picked up at Forever 21 recently… gosh, they have some fun stuff in there! It’s a simple cotton long-sleeve t-shirt in charcoal (one of my staples) with a gunmetal-coloured pattern running across the front. Totally casual, with a hint-o-sparkle. It’s an EXCELLENT and wearable daytime idea for “sequins.”
It seems like many of their t-shirts and blouses are cut boxy and a tad short these days, but this one is just long enough for me to tuck. I don’t love a square-cut shirt on my frame – makes the boobs look enormous (not in the good way) and it’s overall unflattering on a small person just about everyone. Unless you’re Madonna, circa 1984. And, like, a virgin. Lucky for me, this one is just long enough to work.
And machine washable = WIN!!
mock sequin stripes top – Forever 21, $21.80
jeans – Garage
belt – Gap
olive army boots with camo motif – Winners (of course, and totally ancient.)

It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was sitting by my aunt’s side, listening to her tell of an article (ok, the only article!) she had published in “The Lady” magazine.
