Well, it’s that time of year again: the early morning scramble to get my kid to school in time for the 7:55 AM school bell. Holy crap.
I only have time to throw on the pants I wore yesterday over the shirt I wore to bed… draw in some eyebrows and brush my teeth. The leather jacket wards off the chill in the air (since it’s practically still night time) plus it also makes me look like a badass, which can’t possibly be bad thing for my kid, who is smaller than the others… the shades give me an “I’ll be back” quality that I like. There are sequins on my All Star Chucks because I’m all glamourous like that.
Also, it’s the laziest way I can look “reasonable” before showering for the day. Win-win.
