From My Closet – June 17th, 2011 – Take II

I thought I’d include this one too, since I pretty much wear jeans EVERY day of my life, and seldom wear my stuff like this…
I have this wonderful friend who has invited me to dinner at a swanky place tonight, and I’m feeling festive a) because beside the yummy, glammy food, we’ll be a stone’s throw from the Musee des Beaux Arts featuring the incredible works of designer Jean Paul Gaultier (opening today until October 2) and I could just PEE MY PANTS this minute from the sheer excitement of just being CLOSE to it, and 2) I need to get all fancy since this wonderful friend is so blindingly gorgeous, I almost always feel like her very ugly little brother when I stand next to her. (I am sooooo not joking – you should see this lady.)
But? Nothing says fancy like sequins, and MAN, I love this skirt! Forever 21, I could just French kiss you. The un-strappiness of the shoes and the short skirt make my legs appear longer than they are, but the nude-ish colour palette doesn’t make me look all who-er-ish. (At least, I hope not.)
Normally, I would wear a long sleeve with this much skin showing, but it’s hella hot outside, yo. And if the dimples in my thighs offend you, then back the hell up, and don’t stand so close to me. (Heh.)

    Indeed – dressing up for ones ladyfriends seems to have much higher rewards… we DO notice all the finer points!
    And youre kind about my legs. Really, its all about the angle in this pic. Hee!!

    Oh honey – the upclose and personal version are not nearly as wonderful as my dusty mirror and dirty cameral lens might make things appear… but thanks for the vote of confidence, dollface! You rock, Amanda!!

    Oh my giddygod’s pajamas, you look SMOKIN’ – seriously, those are some leg’s I’d kill for.
    And I know exactly what you mean about feeling like a total drudge next to someone else who you otherwise adore – I have a few friends like that. I also find I dress up more to go out with friends than to go out with my mister most of the time, because girls notice these things.
