For those of you who do read Jenny’s blog, you know what to expect. For those who don’t? Expect insanity and hilarity in equal measure. Expect lots and lots about zombies, vaginas, and taxidermy. Expect hair-raising moments with her family, ridiculous arguments with her husband, and sweet, sometimes tear-jerking moments with her daughter. Expect to be moved to tears – by your laughter.
If you have been a reader for years, you will know a few of these stories, but it is every bit worth reading for the new stories, the new spins on the familiar ones, the piecing it all together, and the funny. Oh, people, the funny. I quite literally found myself biting my own hand on the subway to keep my laughter under control this week. I looked as nuts as anyone in this book, but that’s the beauty of it, right there.
Jenny is, quite simply, as crazy as any of us, and probably more so, but she is wonderful and laugh-aloud funny, and her world view is priceless. Even better, she embraces the weird and the messy, and finds beauty in them in a way that makes you want to go along for the ride and you find yourself nodding along with her, knowing she’d embrace you, too. And she totally would, you guys.
I know, right? Amazing. SOOO happy for her!
