Like many offices, mine has a “Casual Friday” policy, wherein the formal dress code is relaxed, and we’re permitted to wear jeans. While I appreciate the gesture in theory, in practice, things prove to be a bit more difficult. A lot of my denim is decidedly skinny in nature, which, while cute for dinner out with friends is not exactly…officey. Yes, officey. Let’s make that word happen, guys. It’s TOO casual for Friday, is what I’m saying.
I’ve consequently been on a fruitless search for the perfect denim trousers, a genius hybrid involving jeans fabric in a more formal pant cut. (See? Genius?) I looked high and low for a pair that fit well, looked good, and didn’t cost an arm and a leg. This proved to be difficult. UNTIL NOW.
Enter the New York & Company Skinny Denim Trouser!

Perfectly cut, perfectly colored, and made with just a touch of spandex, ensuring that you’ll be able to breathe as you sit at your desk, typing away (professionally, yet CASUALLY). They look polished and fit like a dream, so I snapped up a pair. I promptly turned a few coworkers on to the pants, as well, after they complimented me on them. (All different body types, mind you; so far, these appear to be an incredibly flattering pair of pants, across the board.)
They look great with flats, or heels, and work outside the office, too; I paired mine with a patterned tee, cardigan and flats on Sunday night, and felt more pulled-together than I do in my usual weekend eve wear. And here’s the best part: I had purchased them for $49.95, but they’re currently on sale for $24.95. What are you waiting for? GO!

Love! Can you only order them online? I’m reluctant to order Jeans I can’t try on, they look great on the model but you don’t know how they will look on you. Is their a retail outlet in Canada?
