Pacifica Body Butter in Tuscan Blood Orange: My favorite hand cream

March 3, 2011 by Metalia

New York winters KILLLLL my hands. I mean, can you have chapped hands? Is that a thing? I THINK I MAY HAVE HAD CHAPPED HANDS, YOU GUYS.

I’ve found that using Neutrogena Fast Absorbing Hand Cream is incredibly effective (it really does absorb quickly!), but it doesn’t have any scent. This is a plus if you’re already wearing perfume, but if you’re looking for a great hand lotion that also SMELLS delicious, look no further than Pacifica’s line of creams (and other bath and body products), specifically, their Body Butter in Tuscan Blood Orange.  (YES, it’s a body butter, not a hand cream, per se, but see above: re: my freaky chapped hands in need of intensive treatment.)

I will grant you that scent is subjective, but I’ve found that this one appeals to a ton of people. (Provided that they enjoy the scent of blood oranges, that is.) The packaging is adorable, it literally smells EXACTLY like a freshly-cut, spicy orange, and it moisturizes like a dream.

I warn you in advance, you may need to do some explaining when (not if) you get caught sitting there, sniffing your own hands.

Sounds tasty and perfect! I won’t even tell you about my chapped hands… Montreal is seriously cruel, and let’s just say my Barbra-like mani is long, long gone. Ack! I’m always on the lookout for something you can use AND THEN open a doorknob, you know? Maybe I’ll have a look around for it!
